Beyoncé covers Time Magazine's 100 issue
She woke up like this
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has landed a spot in Time magazine's '100 Most Influential People in the World.' In the publication's 11th annual edition, the pop star's name sits alongside a list of names including Robert Redford and Jason Collins, as well as a selection of highly influential figures from the film industry, music industry, and political world.
The 'Time 100' list provides a roundup of inspirational people who have made their mark this year. To have been placed on this list is a reminder of Beyoncé's profound influence, not only in the world of music and film, but as a mentor and inspirational figurehead, particularly to women.
Epitomising the modern day woman, Beyoncé is a lady with strength and she is the figurehead spreading a positive message to women to be confident and independent, to make things happen. The superstar has always spoken about women's rights, and insists that girls "run the world". She has an incredible leadership quality and is a fine example to many. She swears by hard work, honesty and authenticity as traits to get ahead in the world. When faced with a challenge she says, "Watch me. I'm about to do it." Followed by "You can, too."
The 'TIME 100' issues goes on sale Friday, April 25
