According to a new request for a test driving ground to be secured by tech giant Apple, the self-driving Apple car might be landing sooner than we think…

Last month we brought you the news that an Apple car is expected to be in the works after the tech giant revealed the high-profile hire of former Chrysler SVP, Doug Betts (see that story in full here). Now comes a hot update on the increasingly hyped wheels. 

Apple has reportedly just filed papers to secure a location for testing its self-driving car – meaning that the car might very soon be road ready. The development, worked under the code name 'Project Titan,' is said to be planning testing at the GoMentum Station, a 2,100-acre former naval base near San Francisco, California.
