Stars turn out to support AmfAR's first Hong Kong gala
Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow and more
Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow lead the fashion stakes as they joined other big names from the business and entertainment worlds at the AmfAR gala in Hong Kong. AmfAR galas are famously well attended by celebrities around the world all aiming to raise funds in support of The Foundation for AIDS Research, and this year was Hong Kong's first time hosting an event, which is set to become an annual occurrence.
Although not in attendance, Leonardo DiCaprio helped raise $1 million by offering up a day with him on his yacht in St. Tropez, to the auction block. Four spots were open and each one went for $250,000, one of which was snapped up by billionaire art collector, Budi Tek.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss all played their part in raising $4 million on the night from table sponsors and by donating items for auction. Other big names in attendance include Paris Hilton, Kenneth Cole, Simon de Pury and Wyman Wong. Robin Thicke donated his voice to the event by taking to the stage to entertain the star crowd once the auction had concluded, covering Motown classics and ending with a rendition of his hit song Blurred Lines, which has recently been in the media thanks to a lawsuit with Marvin Gaye's family.
