Etihad Airways unveils The Residence
A three bedroom cabin up in the clouds
Unveiled this weekend in Abu Dhabi is the new cabin and unique flying experience by Etihad – unparalleled luxury, comfort and service in the sky – The Residence. The new contemporary living spaces will transform today's air travel, and be the new forward upper-deck cabin on the A380. It will feature a living room, a separate double bedroom and en-suite shower room, with a personal Butler also available.
With the launch of these new fleets, the Abu Dhabi-based airline will also redefine and rename its cabin classes. The Business Studio and Economy Smart Seat will also be featured on both the A380 and the B787.
The A380 will feature the revolutionary First Apartments, which are fully private suites with a separate reclining lounge seat and full-length bed, as well as a chilled mini-bar, personal vanity unit and wardrobe. On the B787, Etihad Airways has even designed an enhanced First Suite.
In addition to the new cabins, Etihad is introducing the latest Panasonic eX3 entertainment system across both fleets, providing more than 750 hours of on-demand entertainment, and an improved gaming system across all cabins. The A380 aircraft will also have full mobile and WiFi service while the B787 will be equipped with WiFi.
