The 12th annual Wild Wadi swim around Dubai's Burj Al Arab
Swimming for a good cause
The annual 'Wild Wadi's Swim around the Burj Al Arab' is back and will be held on February 21, commencing at 8 am. The swimming race will take place around one of the UAE'S most iconic landmarks and is expected to have more than 800 swimmers taking part this year. Proceeds from the event will be going to Doctors Without Boarders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) - with last year's race raising over Dhs220,000 for the charity.
Participants from all over the world are allowed to take part in the 800-metre social swim and 1,600-metre competitive race (new for 2014), from families, competitive swimmers, individuals to old and young teams.
