Weekend brunch guide: Café Belge
Waffles and much more
Bringing back the glamour and style from the 1920s, Café Belge has re-launched its brunch offering with delectable new additions as well as a new dining concept; for the very first time this season, diners can choose to indulge in Belgian fare within the restaurant itself, surrounded by art deco and art nouveau decor, or choose to dine in the open terrace amidst lush greenery.
Once you've settled in, choose from an array of Belgium classics including filet Américain, the Belgian version of beef tartar as well as mussels, the country's national dish cooked in several exquisite ways. If you want a taste of everything, then opt for the fruits de mer or seafood platter, packed with fresh lobster, oysters and winkles, and enjoyed with traditional Belgian mayonnaise. Then, finish your culinary experience with a visit to the dessert room where a variety of sweet offerings await, including a live waffle station to provide that authentic touch.
