The three new dining destinations you need to try this weekend
Prepare yourselves for the ultimate culinary experience
dubai is home to some of the world's most beautiful hotels, stunning skyscrapers, a slew of luxury shops and more than a few Guinness World Records. It's also home to some of the world's best restaurants.
Adding to the city's award-winning gastronomic offerings, three new hotspots have opened up and we're certain you're going to want to add these to your to-do lists this weekend. Here's why...
Japanese cuisine is perhaps one of the most popular food options here in the UAE, with the country boasting a plethora of the finest restaurants dedicated to the cuisine. However, a new Japanese restaurant has just landed on our shores and it's unlike any others we've seen before.
Boasting a unique new dining experience, Hōseki, a 9-seat restaurant overlooking the Dubai skyline, has opened at the Bulgari Resort Dubai.
Prepare to be immeresed in an unforgettable gastronomic experience by Japanese Chef Masahiro Sugiyama, as he follows the Omakase experience (which literally means "I leave it to you"), with dishes made with ingredients directly sourced and imported from Japan.
Hōseki is located on the 4th floor of the Bulgari Resort Dubai. For reservations (there is no walk-in policy), call +971 4 777 5307 or email email@example.com.
If you're into tea, fashion and art, you'll be delighted to hear about this new place that has just opened its doors. Nestled in the heart of Jumeirah in Dubai, right opposite the iconic Burj Al Arab, Tania's Teahouse will fast become one of the country's largest hotspots thanks to its fashionable art coffees, fun tea names, Instagram-worthy interiors and a range of healthy snack options.
With a drinks menu that includes names like Socie-tea Snob, Detox Tea-tox and Don't Chai This at Home, Tania's Teahouse also offers beautiful three-tiered tea platters, detox bites, super bowls and a gift shop where guests can shop tea-themed goodies like mugs, skincare products, jewellery, tote bags, stationery and greeting cards.
Tania's Teahouse is located in Villa 779A on Jumeirah Beach Road. For more information, call +971 4 324 0021.
If you're into Japenese food, you'll be delighted to hear that celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto has finally opened his first UAE outpost in Dubai's Renaissance Downtown Hotel.
The new restaurant has a seasonal menu that will delight any palate. With a focus on an ever-changing seafood list, the menu includes fresh ingredients and supplies gathered from markets all around the globe, including from Tokyo’s famed Tsukiji and Fukuoka fish markets.
With floor-to-ceiling windows, the beautifully-designed restaurant (the space is filled with natural light throughout the day and has a view of Dubai's skyline at night) also includes a 24-seat sushi counter, a live teppanyaki bar (a style of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook food) and an extensive range of signature dishes, too.
Morimoto Dubai is located at the Renaissance Downtown Hotel. For reservations, call +971 4 512 5577.
