One of Dubai's best culinary hotspots has just received a global endorsement. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the details...

Dubai dining concept Qbara has made the list of top six restaurants to discover in the Middle East and Africa. Compiled by the food conoisseurs of the highly-acclaimed gastronomic source, The World's 50 Best Restaurants, many of the region's best restaurants were taken into consideration, from the UAE to South Africa.

"Of course we are delighted with the recognition from such an eminent source as it validates what we, our friends and clients already know," said Joy Ghossoub, Managing Director of Jas Hospitality, the organisation which runs Qbara. "To be in the top six venues on such a wide and competitive stage, is a mammoth achievement, especially as we were founded as recently as 2013. We hit the ground running with determination to be the absolute best from the get-go. We have done that and then some!"

The other restaurants in the list include Alancha in Alaçati, Yeni Lokanta in Istanbul, Em Sherif in Beirut, Lusin in Riyadh and Restaurant Mosaic at The Orient in Pretoria.
