Thanks to its “ingredients of exceptional quality” and “recipes full of character”, L’Assiette Champenoise is the sole restaurant to scoop the highest distinction in France's Michelin Guide 2014

L'Assiette Champenoise, a restaurant located in Tiqueux, near Reims, the capital of the Champagne region, has been awarded three stars in France's Michelin Guide 2014. Its Chef Arnaud Lallement was alone in achieving the highest ranking.

On hearing the news at a ceremony held in France, Lallement revealed that his first thoughts were of his father, Jean-Pierre, who passed away in 2002. Lallement trained under his father before working alongside chefs including Roger Verge, Michel Guerard and Alain Chapel. He rejoined his father at the family restaurant in 1997.

The restaurant today is still a family-run business, and in homage to his father, blue lobster - one of his father's signature dishes, is always on the menu.
