Hakkasan Dubai and Abu Dhabi announce gourmet Chinese New Year celebration
Make a wish for the Chinese New Year with style...
Known for its modern approach to traditional Cantonese cuisine, today, Hakkasan will unveil its wish collection at special menu, available at both Dubai and Abu Dhabi restaurants until March 1.
Inspired by the iconic Wishing Tree in Hong Kong, all Hakkasan locations around the world are inviting guests to share their hopes for 2015 by writing their wishes on unique ribbons that will be placed throughout the restaurants during the festive month.
The limited-edition menu was created by Michelin-starred international executive chef Ho Chee Boon and features a selection of its acclaimed signature dishes, along with a contemporary interpretation on authentic Chinese New Year, from a delicious dim sum platter to grilled Chilean seabass in honey – Buro 24/7 Middle East loved the soft shell crab on a recent preview visit.
Finishing the meal on a sweet note, Hakkasan will also include the 'Kumquat Wishing Tree', a magical dessert complete with chocolate, caramelized macadamia and cocoa rocks – it is truly edible art, and space must be saved for it.
To welcome the Year of the Goat, Hakkasan is also offering entertainment to celebrate the New Year with lion troupes, which will make their way through Hakkasan's maze-like interior, offering symbolic expressions of luck, fortune, wisdom and joy.
