New place to love: The Gluten Free Kitchen & Cafe
Too good to be true
Founded by Lebanese-natives Areej & Ed Jomaa in 2012 as a bakery, The Gluten Free Kitchen and Cafe has grown quickly in popularity and now offers a full menu of gluten free products, from fresh baked goods such as doughnuts and chocolate chip cookies, to sandwiches, salads and other lunch dishes.
Up at the break of dawn, the chefs and bakers of The Gluten Free Kitchen & Cafe promise to bring you an appetising line of baked goods, as well as a full menu of gluten free breakfast and lunch items. Keeping their products as pure and wholesome as possible, talented French Chef Hakima dishes up a variety of sandwiches, salads, pasta, quiche, sushi and many other daily lunch specials – only available at the DIFC location.
Owner Areej said, "The sky is the limit when it comes to delicious edibles, and we have a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline. For example, one aspect of the gluten-free movement, and healthy eating in general, is a consciousness around where products are sourced, whether that means local produce or organic flours. We make every effort to support local, sustainable farmers and use organic ingredients whenever possible. As the UAE evolves, and we evolve with it, we plan to close the gap between what is currently available in the region and a fully organic, local menu."
