The EMM Group eatery heads to the UAE

Frequented by Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Catch is set to be the new "it" eatery in Dubai – providing customers with a contemporary seafood, outstanding service and an exceptional social scene...

With its flagship location set in the heart of Manhattan’s highly hip Meatpacking District, the globally influenced seafood restaurant will soon be opening in the UAE, marking its first international expansion.

Catch, which already has an A-List clientele including David Beckham and Jay-Z & Beyoncé, features contemporary renditions of classic dishes executed by Executive Chef Hung Huynh, winner of acclaimed U.S. cooking show Top Chef and a veteran of top New York establishments including Lespinasse and Per Se.

Hailed as a multi-faceted restaurant that appeals to the tastes of today’s modern diners, iconic Catch dishes include the tableside torched Catch roll with crab, salmon and miso honey, as well as the salmon belly carpaccio with watercress and sweet and sour onion and chilled seared tuna with shitake escabeche, truffle and fresh yuzu.

The restaurant will be brought here by the EMM Group – one of New York’s leading restaurant organisations led by hospitality veterans Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum – and is set to open in February at the Fairmont on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.

“We have nurtured Catch New York and seen it grow into a brand that appeals to the contemporary diner in search of a complete dining experience. From the menu itself to the unique service style and the energy that permeates the dining room, the brand is inherently global and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to enter the established Dubai hospitality market,” said EMM Group Partner, Eugene Remm.
