Saudi Design Week to launch in Riyadh next week
A growing cultural hub for new talent
New art-related initiatives seem to be thriving throughout Saudi Arabia, revealing the country's emerging talent to the rest of the world. Saudi Design Week will be a curation of local and international design talent, describing itself as "a festival for design and visual culture". The program for the fair will be divided into workshops, exhibitions, a design forum and panel discussions to be hosted by various art and design experts including HRH Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al-Saud (CEO, Alfa International).
The week's schedule includes a diverse mixture of events such as a vintage couture pop-up shop, the screening of the fashion documentary Versailles 73 at Harvey Nichols, a ladies-only private fashion dinner and 2 art and design exhibitions at Naila Art Gallery and Lam Art Gallery.
Saudi Design Week runs from February 9-15 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, tickets are now available via the website.
