The Salone Internationale del Mobile is known as a global benchmark of the home furnishing industry. Buro 24/7 profiles five events to look forward to during the proceedings

Milan's Salone del Mobile is an invaluable tool for the home furnishing market, as well as an on-going, quite extraordinary promotional vehicle. It made its first appearance in 1961, designed to promote Italian furniture, home accessories and fashionable names to the export market, and it has continued to do so since then, impeccably, and ensures that the quality of Italian furniture is known to all four corners of the earth. Today, it continues so to do, with half of its almost 300,000 visitors coming from around the world.
