Rick Owens to debut furniture at New York's Salon: Art + Design Fair
Less is more
To say that he has something of a cult following is an understatement, and so his second creative venture into furniture design will surely see Rick Owens' fans happy.
His first foray was in 2007, however now Owens will display several of his newer pieces at the Salon: Art + Design fair in New York. The edgy aesthetic of his fashion label is evident in these pieces too, blending basic materials such as plywood with luxurious textiles like crocodile leather, mink, alabaster and moose antlers.
The pieces will be displayed alongside 50 other exhibitors from around the world, showing everything from decadent pieces designed for Marie-Antoinette to – clearly – more contemporary avant-garde designs.
The Salon: Art + Design fair will be held at New York's Park Avenue Armory from November 14–17
