Chanel Métiers d'Art Paris-Salzburg: The Decor
Opulent interiors set the scene...
Guests who attended the Chanel Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Metiers d'Art show at Salzburg’s historic Leopoldskron Castle on December 2 agree that is was quite simply one of the most opulent fashion shows in the history of fashion shows. This is due in no small part to Karl Lagerfelds meticulous selection of venue.
The eighteenth century Austrian castle boasts covetable lake and alpine views and its grand symmetrical facade exudes regal charm. Buro 24/7 takes a look inside the palace at the extraordinary decor that served as the backdrop to the mid-season show.
The fabrics within the venue complemented the rich fabrics selected for the collection, deluxe drapery dressed the windows from the interior and detailed upholstery covered the antique chairs. Candles and antique ornaments were scattered around the rooms, which were surrounded by lavish ceilings covered in original stucco features with crystal chandeliers suspended from above.
