Louis Vuitton launches new pop-up residence designed by André Fu
'L'Appartement Hong Kong'
By invite only, Louis Vuitton will soon choose a selection of its loyal clientele and invite them into its 'secret' pop-up 3,500 square foot apartment in Hong Kong.
Together, the fashion house and André Fu transformed part of a private member's club on Wellington Street into a super exclusive, furnished space, complete with a study, boudoir, separate living and dining areas, and a Michelin-starred chef on call.
'L'Appartement Hong Kong' is the designer's first collaboration with a brand. "I was intrigued by the intellectual exercise of creating something that offers an emotional experience despite it being a temporary construct," says Fu – who was recently responsible for designing The Opus super suite at the Berkeley hotel in London.
Delivering a modern, glamorous home-away-from-home, the luxurious apartment is kitted out contemporary Chinese art and vintage prints and objects from the Louis Vuitton archives, such as a large solid-oak dining table, bespoke ceiling lights and walls decorated with Jim Thompson silks.
