London College of Fashion's new rooftop
The newly designed timber deck features a herringbone pattern in captivating colours such as pink, blue and white, and the decoration is a tribute to the college's heritage in textiles, as well as a nod to the design company's name.
The space, which is now adorned with planters, seats and tables, was originally a casual hang out for students, but has now been transformed into a meeting place for social events, small group assemblies as well as The Fashion Space Gallery's events programme.
Studio Weave's Eddie Blake commented on the new space: "We had already been playing around with various weaving ideas, so when LCF approached us with their heritage in textiles we wanted to try to apply some of this thinking, We have made an advanced decking wrap-around installation. It's super bright and super dynamic. The London skyline is there, there's a nice concrete building, and then this real burst of colour."
