Croatia's floating conference centre
Business is bobbing along
Croatian architectural engineers Davor Štern and Ante Zloich have created a concept for the first ever floating conference centre to run on high seas.
The idea has been given the name 'Periska' and to the publication Croatia Week, the business led project – currently only in its concept stages – is already looking like it will change local tourism; a floating centre that can float across the Adriatic Sea, shuttling from one city to another.
Periska is planned to hold over 4,000 people and the construction covers a movable roof that can be folded up to expose open air above or close tightly via shell valves, depending on weather conditions. A variety of recreational activities will also be available alongside restaurants, a spa and fitness centre with swimming pool.
