Dubai Frame to feature raised glass walkway
Offering panoramic views of Dubai
According to Dubai Municipality's head of projects Mohammed Mashroom, the 'Dubai Frame' is set to feature a glass walkway raised 150 meters above ground. The project – which is already under development – is designed to resemble a large picture frame with a 150m high, 93m width structure.
From the walkway, landmarks including Emirates Towers and the Burj Khalifa will be seen, while the opposite side will offer views of areas of old Dubai such as Deira and Al Karama. At the Construction Week UAE Infrastructure Summit 2014, Mashroom said that visitors will be able to follow a route that offers an insight into Dubai's history via modern technology, before travelling up an elevator with panoramic views 150m high, which involves "walking on clear glass that will keep on going."
