nother season of Downtown Design has just begun, opening the doors on an edition that promises to showcase a schedule of exciting events and experiences. The region's emerging platform for design celebrates its fifth year highlighting a series exhibitions that focus on accessories, furniture, kitchens, lighting, textiles and new technologies. Expect to see a coveted collection of brands including over 150 regional and international designers, think Georg Jensen, Designed by Hind, Fendi Casa, Bentley Home, Baccarat and Lladro (pictured above).
Also, Dubai-based jewellery designer Nadine Kanso is set to showcase her first interior collection, aptly titled Khawatir, during Dubai Design Week. In collaboration with Lebanese architect Fadi Sarieddine, the limited edition collection consists of three unique pieces; Ana (I), a stand-alone mirror; Hobb (Love), a multi-purpose stool; and Ana 02, a hand-held mirror, all blending the designer's signature Arabic calligraphy with the architect's creative vision.
