Cutting edge technology meets some non-traditional decor in the Beats by Dre 'mothership' in Culver City, California

Home to Beats by Dre's innovative research design and development centre and 650 employees, Los Angeles-based Bestor architecture collaborated with Loescher + Meachem Architects to create a  unique and easily adaptable design for an already existing three-building campus.

The 105,000 square foot complex based in Culver City, connects and integrates fresh design and musical innovation. The newly built headquarters consists of three different complexes, the main building which is home to sales, marketing, finance and administration, that's is connected to the second building – the social and creative hub of the HQ – which includes a mixing studio, café, small gym and relaxing area. The third building holds the product development and engineering team, as well Beats' cutting edge, acoustical testing lab.

The colourful interior combines spaces painted in deep blue and red paint with custom wallpapers, and art-inspired furniture like a brass-lined staircase reminiscent of 1970s minimalist art.
