This year's A' Design Award & Competition winners announced
Designs of the future
The A' Design Award & Competition has officially become the world's largest and most diffused design honour in 2014, as it aims to promote and highlight excellence in architecture, design, technology and related fields.
The award and competition invited individuals to submit their work in either conceptual or realised forms through a range of categories – acting as a platform to bring together creative from around the world – which publicise good design.
This year saw more than 12,536 projects from 208 countries, entered into 105 classified groups. Judged by a 50-member jury composed of scholars, press members, professionals and entrepreneurs, selecting more than 758 winners from 77 countries in 74 different design disciplines.
Among the projects, the winners of 2014 saw, The 'Rising Moon' by Stanley Siu which is a temporary pavilion that celebrates the mid-autumn festival that is observed in Chinese tradition, Dublin's Google Campus office interior design created by Camenzind Evolution which features 42 micro kitchens and communication hubs, game rooms, a fitness center, pool and wellness areas.
