Volvo introduce new 'LifePaint' – a glow-in-the-dark paint for cyclists
Road safety in a can
Volvo has come up with a revolutionary way to help cyclist's visibility on the roads at night, and has introduced 'LifePaint' – a collaboration with creative agency Grey London and Albedo100.
The Swedish car manufacturer saw that most accidents that happen on the roads are due to low visibility between cars and bikes and decided to do something about it. 'LifePaint' is a water-based reflective spray that is invisible in daylight but shines bright under the glare of a car's headlights during the dark.
The revolutionary spray lasts for ten days before wearing off and needs to be re-applied, it can be sprayed over whole bikes, helmets, clothes, shoes and even dog leashes. This brilliant invention is currently only available in the U.K, with six distributors across London and Kent but Volvo have promised to expand its distribution if the product becomes popular.
