The Koenigsegg One: 1 – Will the world's first megacar also be the most expensive?
Not just a supercar
The Koenigsegg One: 1 looks set to become the world's most expensive car with an asking price of a staggering Dhs22 million. UK-based dealer Supervettura has bought the development model of the new series and consequently slapped that hefty price tag on it.
"We are delighted to offer this very special Koenigsegg One: 1, the car that was used by the Koenigsegg factory to develop the extremely rare and extreme performance One: 1 model," the company said on its website. "Only six production cars were ever built, plus one development car #00 which is the car we are offering today." The car will be delivered with an extensive factory refresh.
Claimed by its Swedish makers to be the world's first megacar, this machine has a hp-to-kg curb weight ratio of 1:1, once thought impossible for a road legal car. The Koenigsegg One: 1 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 2.6 seconds and potentially reach a top speed of 439km/h.
The Koenigsegg One: 1 model #00 is priced at Dhs22 million for export and will be ready for delivery in January 2016. For information and enquiries, visit Supervettura.
