Last week, at the annual Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy, automakers were debuting exclusive concepts to some of the wealthiest motor enthusiasts in the world, including BMW's new Concept Roadster

The new Concept Roadster packs the German brand's classic two-cylinder boxer engine displacing 1,170 cubic centimeters and produces 123 horsepower and 92 pound-feet of torque. The colossal power is routed to the rear wheel via a drive shaft, with a single-sided swing arm rear suspension  all nestled in a glistening tubular frame.

The futuristic design features a thin strip of LEDs for the headlights, with its dark engine and lightly painted fuel tank as the most prominent visual features.

BMW stated the rear portion is made from a single piece of milled aluminum with visible tool marks to give it an industrialised look, while the seat itself is wrapped in Alcantara leather to provide some comfort.
