Paris Motor Show 2014: Porsche unveils its Cayenne S E-hybrid
This week, Porsche gave auto fans a preview of its newest ride, with its more powerful, more efficient, sleek-looking version of the eco-friendly Cayenne variant.
The Cayenne S E-Hybrid features a few mild tweaks in the styling department, such as quad-LED driving lights, and claims to be the first plug-in luxury SUV, and the third plug-in hybrid in Porsche's model range.
Powered by a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 and a 95-horsepower electric motor (the same as the Panamera S E-Hybrid), the Cayenne can put out a total of 416 horsepower and 435 lbs-ft of torque. Powering the attractive car is the battery, a lithium-ion unit which has a total capacity of 10.8kWh, and allows for an electric-only range of 36 km. With the vehicle is said to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, boasting a top-speed of 243 km/h.
