Maserati unveils its first SUV: The Levante
Italian luxury automaker Maserati has unveiled the Levante, its first ever SUV. The Levante has been launched on the heels of the Ghibli, another model in the Maserati range that suggests an expansion of the brand's target market.
The Levante features all of Maserati's trademark design cues, from the signature trio air vents on the sides, to the frameless windows. In addition to those, the Levante also boasts an aggressive yet classy grille, an element that makes it attractive as both a sports vehicle as well as a more functional everyday ride. Maserati has also equipped the Levante with an all-wheel drive system coupled with an eight-speed transmission to ensure a smooth and comfortable ride.
While the exterior has been revealed, Maserati has kept the interiors under wraps for now. Prospective buyers will need to wait until the upcoming Geneva Motor Show for the full reveal, with the Levante set to hit the streets later this year.
