From haute rides to concept cars Buro 24/7 Middle East picks the top three cars you need to know about now.

The recently concluded Geneva International Motor Show played host to the world's automotive fraternity as the biggest names in the business unveiled their latest four-wheeled masterpieces. With a host of haute rides on display, these are the three debuts that are on the fast track to iconic status.

Mercedes-AMG GT Concept

This is a car presented to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mercedes-AMG brand, and a car with one eye on tradition and one eye on the future as evident with its twin petrol and electric powertrain. While the elements under the hood allow for superior driving performance – the hybrid is capable of reaching 0-100km/h in less than three seconds – the exterior styling showcases a refined sportiness courtesy of its long bonnet, low but elegant grille and dynamic rear.

Lamborghini Huracán Perfomante

This edition of the Huracán is equipped with Lamborghini's most powerful V10 engine ever, which explains its phenomenal lap timings at Germany's iconic Nürburgring. Inside, modern conveniences such as the Apple CarPlay is featured while the brand's Ad Personam Program allows for extensive customisation. "This new car represents the powerhouse of Lamborghini DNA and innovation, and a 360-degree approach to creating class-leading super sports cars," said Lamborghini CEO, Stefano Domenicali. "It illustrates the pinnacle of Lamborghini V10 production car performance to date, on both track and road, and is perfectly exemplified by its name: Lamborghini Huracán Performante."

McLaren 720S

The new generation of McLaren's Super Series is lighter and faster; 341km/h to be exact. Also, the revolutionary 'double skin' door design has completely removed the need for a side radiator intake, which was traditionally deemed vital in a performance car. Fortunately as well, the carbon fibre shell and mechanical mastery is complemented by a luxurious interior which include fine leathers, heated seats and satin graphite detailing.
