FT-1 a new sports car concept by Toyota
Revealed at the Detroit Auto Show
Toyota is taking the 2014 Detroit Auto Show by storm, as they reveal their new concept the FT - 1.
The 'Future Toyota' concept car was created by Toyota's CALTY design research North American team. The aesthetics of the car gives us a glimpse into the future, with its exaggerated sleek body created by a technique called function sculpting, exactly what you need for maximum speed. Combining aggression and beauty, the sloped front design is also complete with deep vents that manages the movement of air over and through the body and uncovered LED headlamps.
There's no word on whether a full-scale production is likely, but Toyota says the FT-1 "embodies elements of the emotion and performance that Toyota will imprint upon future production designs."
