A retrospective exhibition: Formula 1's Fernando Alonso
At the Centro de Exposiciones Arte Canal in Spain
The unique retrospective titled 'Fernando Alonso Collection' is exhibiting at the Sala Arte Canal — an urban heritage site in Madrid in Spain – and highlights the successes of the Formula One champion and Ferrari driver.
Organised by the Canal de Isabel II and the Fernando Alonso Foundation, the temporary exhibition spans over 2,000 square metres.
The historical venue creates a unique environment for visitors, allowing them to immerse themselves in the world of the famous driver. It holds more than 270 objects, including Formula One single-seaters, formula feeders and many of the karts which the Spanish icon has driven throughout his career.
The thrilling private collection is displayed in a contrasting space of dark painted walls and colourful artefacts, which are positioned on beaming white platforms and display cases.
The exhibition also features audiovisual presentations, interactive spaces and parallel activities, allowing the visitor to experience the excitement and intensity of Formula One, whilst getting to know Fernando Alonso – one of the most supreme sportsmen in racing history.
The Fernando Alonso Collection at the Centro de Exposiciones Arte Canal in Madrid runs until May 4, 2014.
