BMW release its most expensive paint ever
40 times more expensive than the baseline coat
This week, the German carmaker revealed its 'Individual Pure Metal Silver' paint, the most expensive shade out of the 230+ exterior colour options on offer
Originally presented on the M5 range about a year ago, the new dazzling brushed aluminium colour will cost BMW owners $10,000. Only available for select models, the 'Individual Pure Metal Silver' features a chrome-like effect and is one-of-a-kind.
Many unique properties set the paint apart from other BMW hues: It is made from a special-effect pigment, which is combined with a water-based paint system, creating an eye-catching and gleaming surface. The colour also includes a light-dark effect and intensive reflective properties.
