Aston Martin unveils Red Bull hypercar
British luxury automaker Aston Martin has pulled the covers off the AM-RB 001, the hypercar that's created in partnership with Red Bull Racing. Designed to put a track car legally onto the roads, the AM-RB 001 is a lightweight carbon fibre structure that's truly an unprecedented marriage of automotive excellence and true luxury.
"The synergy between Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin is clear," said Adrian Newey, Red Bull Racing's Chief Technical Officer and a major catalyst behind the realisation of the hypercar project. "I knew Red Bull Racing had the ability to handle the pure performance aspects, but Aston Martin's experience of making beautiful, fast and comfortable GT cars is of great benefit to the project. I've always been adamant that the AM-RB 001 should be a true road car that's also capable of extreme performance on track, and this means it really has to be a car of two characters."
The AM-RB 001 by Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing will be limited to a maximum of 150 cars and deliveries are expected to begin in 2018. For more information, visit astonmartin.com
