The Cire Trudon x Valentino Christmas candle

The Cire Trudon x Valentino Christmas candle

Smells like festive spirit

Editor: Buro 24/7

Created in 1643, Cire Trudon is France's former royal candle maker for Louis XIV, and it continues to dominate the world of luxury today thanks to a host of collaborations... The latest of which is, Valentino

Following on from Yaz Bukey and Giambattista Valli, Valentino is taking its turn to join forces with iconic French candlemaker Cire Trudon – made entirely from all-natural vegetable pulp.

And just in time for the festive season, creative duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have conjured up the design 'Rouge Absolute', a limited edition scented candle that "radiates femininity" by way of an array of sultry scents.

Valentino's signature sultry side comes to life with subtle notes of geranium and jasmine to enhance the copper, amber and woody tones and the aroma of fir balsam gives it a woody, Christmas appeal.

Rouge Abosolute's intense and passionate red is not only Valentino's trademark shade but also serves as a tribute to the vibrant Barcelona Opera flower boxes, which first inspired Valentino Garavani's designs.
