The Buro 24/7 Middle East launch
An intimate dinner in the desert
Buro 24/7 Middle East launched in the UAE with a womens-only, VIP event in the desert. The unique dinner welcoming around 50 esteemed women from arts and culture, fashion and retail, print and digital media, government and more, hosted by Buro 24/7 founder Miroslava Duma, director of Buro 24/7 Middle East, Salama Alabbar together with editor-in-chief Holly Williams.
Guests included Princess Deena A. Abdulaziz, Nasiba Adilova, Diala Makki, Muna Abu Sulayman, designer Razan Alazzouni and Muna Al Gurg – and a plethora of other influential women at the top of their industries.
For the first time ever, La Serre Head Chef Izu Ani stepped out of his kitchen, putting together a special menu for Buro 24/7, personally cooking for the guests at the beautiful desert location. Desserts in the desert were provided by the famous Angelina Café – which is due to open to the public at The Dubai Mall in December. Guests enjoyed Angelina's signature hot chocolate and Mont Blanc pudding under the cool starry night sky.
Digital projections danced in the desert whilst the newly redesigned version of Buro 24/7 Middle East was visible on screens for guests to view whilst eating their supper, prepared on site by Izu. The world of digital media was alive in the middle of the vast Arabian desert. Guests were encouraged to share their experience with the world via Instagram, using the hashtag #Buro247inthedesert.
