Spend the afternoon at Galleria Mall
Indulge in the best desserts and some artsy nail treatments at the newly opened Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road. Start off by visiting new SoH Art+Beauty, a quirky salon that let's you choose from a wide variety of unique nail art or hair treatments, from blow drys to hair cuts. You can even buy a piece of vibrant art, which has directly inspired the artworks on your fingertips.
After being pampered at SoH, you can walk over to Home Bakery – which is right next door. The sweet eatery is the brainchild of Emirati, Hind Al Mulla, and has now become an 'It' destination for people with a sweet tooth – with favourites including the addictive chewy melt chocolate cookies or some nutella kunafa.
Visit the East Wing Gallery for The Other Hundred exhibition
From September 16 to October 16, the East Wing Gallery in Dubai presents The Other Hundred exhibition. The unique showcase focuses on a photography initiative created as a counterpoint to famed 'rich lists' created by the media, such as the 'Forbes 100', aiming to bring attention to stories of people from around the world who are not rich in material things but in life, and deserve to be celebrated.
The 100 photo-stories draws from 91 countries across 6 continents and is the result of a worldwide collaboration between amateur and professional photographers.
Go see Denzel Washington's new film
This weekend, Denzel Washington will make his action-packed return with the new thriller, The Equalizer, based on the 1980s TV series. A film that can't be missed, Washington will act alongside Chloe Grace Moretz, as he reunites with Training Day director Atoine Fuqua. Feel and eat authentic at Ostadi Special Iranian

The sky will soon be filled with colourful displays of light and sparkle as Eid fireworks will be held at Kite Beach beginning October 2 at 9pm. The nightly fireworks will run until October 11 and take over the Dubai's night sky in celebrations of Eid Al Adha.

Explore the show-stopping four-day event that features a variety of activities and entertainment including renowned DJs, beach sports, street performers, LED light jugglers, thrilling parachuting from Sky Dive Dubai, lightshows and a scintillating fireworks display on the first day of Eid. Symphony of Light & Fire runs on 4 October 6–10pm and 5 October 5–9pm.
Visit the luxurious Peninsula Paris
The Qatari-owned Peninsula Paris has recently opened its doors with 'Palace' status, and on the occasion of Eid Al Adha, it's inviting families to celebrate a magical stay. From October 2 to 19, inclusive with a stay of a minimum of three nights you will also receive; A chocolate making workshop with famous chef Julien Alvarez, a discovery session in the gym with music games and a boxing class with a personal trainer aimed at teens, and for the young ladies: manicures and care classes with its knowledgable aestheticians.
Join the Nike+ Run Club
As the weather gets more inviting in the Middle East, the Nike+ Run Club (N+ RC) is back in Dubai to inspire more runners to reach their fitness goals. A community-based running club, the N+RC provides expert coaching, support and mentoring to help train runners and encourage them to get outside and get active over Eid. It's held three times a week across Dubai and is open to anyone, for free. Friday at Burj Park Downtown Dubai at 7am, Sunday at Palm Jumeriah Track at 7pm, and Tuesday at DIFC at the Gate Building at 7pm.
