LVMH Watch Week 2021: Hublot launches new novelties

Hublot's first collections of the year have been released, paving the way for a successful 2021 ahead...

It’s that time of the year again where all watch aficionados excitedly gather for the reveal of the industry’s newest novelties. However this year, as physical trade shows are a thing of the past, brands have turned to virtually roll out their latest products.

Following the inauguration of last year’s successful LVMH Watch Week in Dubai, watch brands under the conglomerate have invited enthusiasts to tune in to discover a number of major product announcements from Hublot, Zenith and Bvlgari. TAG Heuer was notably missing from the roster just days after announcing their latest brand ambassador — we’re assuming the brand will roll out their own products later on this year.

Until then, discover Hublot’s first collections of the year. (Hint: it’s an impressive list of novelties) …

BIG BANG TOURBILLON AUTOMATIC ORANGE SAPPHIRE

Hublot’s ‘Art of Fusion’ concept has quite literally reached a whole new level with the new Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic in Orange Sapphire. The dynamic colour has surprised the watch industry as it’s completely unexpected yet, a breath of fresh air. What makes the timepiece quite different and unlike your traditional tourbillon movements is that it is equipped with manual winding. Completely designed and produced by Hublot, the exceptional calibre makes a name for itself thanks to its self-winding system.

The timepiece is limited to just 50 pieces, and also comes available with a case and bezel in Black Ceramic.

“In line with its winning spirit, Hublot has produced a new exceptional innovation by unveiling the world’s very first case in orange sapphire,” says Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot. “Our manufacture has also reaffirmed its watchmaking expertise by unveiling a new automatic tourbillon calibre, entirely designed and manufactured in-house, and on which the spectacular visible dial side architecture underscores the innovative design of the watch. The “Art of Fusion” in all its glory according to Hublot.”

BIG BANG UNICO INTEGRAL CERAMIC – WHITE, NAVY BLUE AND GREY

Not one, not two, but three new colours of the Big Bang Unico Integral Ceramic have been announced. Following on from its black ceramic, the new novelties include navy blue, grey and white (pictured above) — each complete with built-in scratch-resistance, durability and hypoallergenic properties. Making it a true statement piece, the architectural components of the pieces feature an integrated bracelet on which the first link is fused with the case.

Immaculate white, classic navy blue or titanium grey? The choice is yours.

BIG BANG ONE CLICK 33MM

There’s no better time than now to include more colour in your life to brighten up your days and Hublot too, is looking at those sunny days ahead. Launching the Big Bang One Click 33mm in stainless steel or in King Gold with seven interchangeable straps, it allows the watch to take on an alternative appearance to suit your mood in just a click.

“For 40 years, the brand has been one of the only ones to use natural rubber to make watch straps that are recognised by enthusiasts as the Hublot signature style,” explains Guadalupe. “The soft and supple touch of this unexpected material in Haute Horlogerie is an asset in addition to the range of colours that appeals to fans of precision and elegance.”

BIG BANG MP-11 MAGIC GOLD

Hublot has always been recognised as a brand that is at the forefront of cutting-edge materials and its newest release is proof. Introducing two new cases for a unique engine-inspired movement, the Big Bang MP-11 watch is introduced in a scratch-resistant Magic Gold fusion and stunning Blue Sapphire — each featuring an unrivalled power reserve of 14 days through the open dial.

CLASSIC FUSION ORLINSKI

Art and technology come together in the new Classic Fusion Orlinski, now available in a monochrome mode in two editions entirely clad in ceramic, with the exception of the strap and the crown. The ceramic has long been a material of choice for Hublot (since the launch of its iconic Big Bang collection in 2005) and is available in black and blue ceramic. Each of the watches have a run of 200 pieces.

SPIRIT OF BIG BANG CERAMIC BEIGE

Women, this one’s for you. Hublot have introduced the new Spirit of Big Bang in a beautiful Ceramic Beige hue, set to compliment any outfit. Complete with its greige alligator strap on white rubber and its sand-coloured sunray dial, the stunning timepiece features either a bezel in King Gold 18K or polished titanium set with 50 diamonds.

SPIRIT OF BIG BANG TOURBILLON 5-DAY POWER RESERVE CARBON WHITE

And lastly, Hublot proves that opposites do attract with the release of its Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-day Power Reserve Carbon White – a combination of black and white. The 42-mm timepiece features a case back and bezel crafted from carbon fibre featuring white composite inclusions and plays with contrasts and transparency with a sapphire case back and dial. Limited to only 100 pieces, the new timepiece is paired with a white lined rubber strap and also embraces interchangeability thanks to its patented “One-Click” system.
