Van Cleef & Arpels' butterfly effect
Wings of inspiration
Van Cleef & Arpels has added to its Two Butterfly collection with sparkling new pieces. Drawing inspiration from spring, the jewellery creations combine the colours of the season as well as the subtle and graceful movements of both flora and fauna.
Designed in the shape of butterflies, the new additions take the form of earrings, a pendant and the brand's unique Between the Finger Ring. This also marks the first time the maison is incorporating mother-of-pearl in its design for the collection, combining the pearl's glistening sparkle with stunning diamonds and rose gold.
The delicate butterflies on the Between the Finger Ring are intentionally mirrored in such a way to add depth yet still hold to the brand's synonymous symmetrical design values. Also present in this particular piece is the use of a grain setting, completing a trio of setting techniques that include prongs as well as closed sets.
