For Spring, Van Cleef & Arpels' give a poetic tribute to nature
An emblematic collection
The Van Cleef & Arpels' maison has had a long history of not only creating some beautifully bespoke jewellery pieces that are convertible but also crafting statement pieces that continue to blossom with brilliance. For Spring, one of the maison's emblematic collections, Frivole, is expanding with a range of new coveted pieces that are a nod to nature — and they're just as precious as they are playful.
Eight new luminous creations are enriched with flowers — a motif that has long been at the heart of Van Cleef & Arpels' history — and adorned in exquisite materials including yellow gold, diamonds, white gold and for the first time, rose gold and pink sapphires adorn Frivole creations.
A radiant celebration of nature, the blossoming collection consists of a 7-flower bracelet that magnifies the brilliance of heart-shaped petals (it also comes together in the form of a secret watch), a new 5-flower bracelet that can be layered with a 9-flower necklace, a Between the Finger Ring crafted with a mirror-polished white gold and a diamond-paved flower, a bracelet-watch echoing delicately-pivoting corollas (personally our favourite piece, the precious bouquet can be transformed into a pendant and worn on a chain, or mounted on a jewellery structure as a clip), and a pair of Frivole earrings and pendant complete in rose gold and pink sapphires.
With each piece, Van Cleef & Arpels' DNA shines through and so does the exceptional savoir-faire that illuminates it. For this collection, the maison used its mirror-polishing technique where on each petal; a hand-polishing skill highlights the gleam of gold, creating intense reflections. Also, jewellers pierce the gold structures to enable light to pass through the stones and diamonds (each chosen by expert gemmologists) as they meet the strictest criteria: D to F for colour and IF to VVS for clarity.
The Frivole pink sapphire novelties are exclusively available in Les Salons Van Cleef & Arpels Dubai Opera.
