The watchmaking industry's finest gather this November for a charitable event that marries unique horology with philanthropy.

First held in 2005, the biennial Only Watch auction is an exclusive event where the biggest names in horology create one-of-a-kind pieces in the name of charity. The 2017 edition, to be held in Geneva, will see brands such as Audemars Piguet, Louis Vuitton and Hublot showcase their philantropic offerings, where proceeds will go to the Monaco Association against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. With dozens of coveted timepieces expected to go under the hammer, Buro 24/7 Middle East takes a look at the top five pieces that will steal the spotlight.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar watch

Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak collection welcomes the event's unique black ceramic edition where the case, bezel and bracelet were created from the fine material. Four white sub-dials feature on the face that juxtapose perfectly against the blue colour palette. As well, this timepiece is the first of its kind to boast a black ceramic caseback combined with sapphire.
