Montblanc unveils Star Roman Carpe Diem special editions
Seizing the moment
Fine Swiss watchmaker Montblanc has released its latest special edition collection, the Star Roman Carpe Diem. Paying homage to the famous Latin saying, the new line consists of three different variations: the Montblanc Star Roman Quantième Complet Carpe Diem Special Edition, the Montblanc Star Roman Chronograph UTC Automatic Carpe Diem Special Edition and the Montblanc Star Roman Carpe Diem Small Second Special Edition.
While the three watches may differ in certain functionalities, similar design cues remain throughout; a round stainless steel case with an onion-shaped crown, an off-white dial with the guilloché grain d'orge centre as well as red gold-plated Roman numerals and a blue seconds hand. Not to mention, at the heart of the watches, are the maison's self-winding mechanical movement.
The 42mm Quantième Complet – French for complete calendar – offers not only the time but also the week, date, months and moon phases. Then, the Chronograph UTC Automatic version comes in a 42mm case and features three sub-dials at the 6, 9 and 12 o'clock positions, offering the wearer additional time-keeping functions. Finally, the 39mm Small Second Special Edition timepiece offers classical simplicity with all of the exceptional intricacies of fine watch-making.
The Montblanc Star Roman Carpe Diem special editions are now available in Montblanc boutiques.
