Montblanc unveils exclusive Artisan Edition Wassily Kandinsky pieces
Art on a pen
Montblanc has launched two limited edition series in tribute to the great Russian painter, Wassily Kandinsky. The Artisan Edition Wassily Kandinsky collection consists of two different variations: the Artisan Edition Homage to Kandinsky Limited Edition 3 and the Artisan Edition Homage to Kandinsky Limited Edition 77 — the number alludes to the number of pieces of that particular edition.
Paying homage to the bold colours of the Bauhaus movement – blue, yellow and red – the Artisan Edition Homage to Kandinsky Limited Edition 3, features a white gold skeletonised cap with precious gemstones in those same primary colours masterfully attached to it. At the tip of the cap is a 0.11ct single diamond encapsulated in a dome, which is then encircled with a further two rows of diamonds. The barrel of the pen too follows the same design motif as the cap, while the nib is engraved with a simple 'K', reflecting the artists' signature.
The Artisan Edition Homage to Kandinsky Limited Edition 77 has similar design cues as its sibling but utilises champagne gold and is void of sparkling gemstones. Furthermore, the smooth lacquered barrel shows a gradient of colours from blue to red. Also, where a single diamond sits on the cap of the Limited Edition 3, the Limited Edition 77 places a mother-of-pearl Montblanc logo instead.
The Montblanc Artisan Edition Wassily Kandinsky is now available at Montblanc boutiques across the Middle East.
