A luxury watchmaker trawled its archives for the inspiration of its latest timepiece and the result is timeless...

Swiss watchmaker Longines has unveiled the newest addition to its Heritage line, the Heritage 1969. Drawing heavy inspiration to one of the maison's iconic timepieces in the '60s, the Heritage 1969 is a testament to the allure of timeless simplicity.

The 36x36mm cushion-shaped steel case features a brushed silvery dial with rose-coloured hands as well as indexes to provide a pop of vibrant colour. The date window on the new watch is positioned between the 4 and 5 hour markers, following the design of the same complication in the original '60s timepiece. Completing the look is the black alligator strap for an added dose of refinement.
