Just in: Georg Jensen x Zaha Hadid's Moda Operandi collaboration
Online luxury retailer Moda Operandi, are extending their exclusive offerings by acquiring a new line of extensive jewellery created by former world-acclaimed architect Zaha Hadid and leading Danish design house Georg Jenson. Considered to be Hadid's last completed work since her passing in March, this exclusive collection sees five rings and three cuff bangles all structurally created with Hadid's eye for design and Georg Jensen's modernised aesthetic.
Looking towards Wangjing Soho – a building designed by Hadid in China – for inspiration, silhouettes and curved forms are translated through the collection in a palette of silver and black rhodium.
Speaking about the collection and paying tribute to Hadid's work, Georg Jensen's Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, David Chu says: "There was always a continuity in Zaha’s work, and the same is true of this collection. Her aesthetic aligned with the history of our jewellery designs, celebrating nature’s seemingly simple yet mathematical forms. And our partnership honoured a century of collaborating with designers whose vision transforms the way we think.”
