Hublot unveils the MP-05 LaFerrari Sapphire
20 pieces only
Luxury watchmaker Hublot has launched its MP-05 LaFerrari Sapphire at SIHH 2016, an evolution to its original technical masterpiece. The LaFerrari line, dedicated to the automotive car manufacturer, had created history when it was first released in 2013 by having the highest number of parts in a movement.
The new edition features a transparent case that is carved out of sapphire, the second hardest material in the world after diamonds. Put together using several machined components, the watch required over 18 months of development work and 600 hours of precise diligence to create. The result is a timepiece that showcases its mechanical heart in full view — in a manner that seems almost floating — which allows the viewer to appreciate its inner workings from every angle possible.
"Today the 'all clear' concept pays tribute to our proprietary calibres and to all the watchmaking expertise that Hublot has developed over the last decade," said Hublot's CEO Ricardo Guadalupe. "'Visible invisibility', a philosophy which has culminated in success for Hublot."
The MP-05 LaFerrari Sapphire is limited to only 20 pieces. For more information, visit Hublot.
