Dubai’s largest jewellery retail event open to the public this week and it's set to showcase more than 10,000 jewellery designs from all over the world including the only Dubai-cut diamond by Dhamani...

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Dubai International Jewellery Week has been relaunched as a consumer event for 2015 with more than 20,000 visitors expected to attend. International jewellery designers and manufacturers from more than 25 countries including the UAE, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the USA, are all converging on the coveted event to showcase exclusive collections and luxury pieces, which will be available to purchase.

Several new features have been added to the show and include styling sessions by fashion influencers, interactive beauty workshops as well as a number of never before seen in the Middle East exhibitors. "As with each year, this year will also see a number of first time exhibitors at the show. This is testament to Dubai's popularity as a hub for jewellery aficionados and luxury consumers, and Dubai International Jewellery Week's pre-eminence as the Middle-East's most distinguished jewellery event and its growing international stature," said Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, Exhibitions and Events Management, Dubai World Trade Centre.

Adding to the discussion is Patrick To, Managing Director Le Grand Jewellery, Hong Kong who says: "The Middle East is one of the world's most sophisticated and largest markets for jewellery. This means that consumers are very aware of trends and styles and have refined tastes when it comes to jewellery. Moreover, we find that a large number of free economic zones here contribute towards a competitive and attractive business environment for us."

Another must-see at the show is the Dubai diamond by the Dhamani Jewelry House, which was founded by L.N. Dhamani in 1969. Speaking about the stone, Dhamani says: "The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), Dubai Government, awarded Dhamani the exclusive rights to retail the 99-faceted Dubai Cut diamonds in late 2005. The Dubai Cut, the world's first diamond cut inspired and named after a city, is an exceptional new cut of diamond inspired by the culture of Dubai."

Dubai International Jewellery Week takes place from December 9-12, 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 2-10pm on Saturday-Thursday and 3pm-10pm on Friday and you can experience (and buy) the Dhamani Dubai diamonds at Hall 7, Stand Number A7-30
