Dior unveils the Granville fine accessories collection
Colours take centrestage
Dior has launched Granville, its latest collection that features both haute jewellery as well as intricate timepieces. Named after the place that Christian Dior grew up — Granville — the new collection revisits the freedom and playfulness synonymous with childhood.
The colours and materials chosen for the jewellery line — green beryl, peridot, aquamarine, tanzanite, chrysoberyl, pink tourmaline, rubellite — reflect this idea. In addition, different cuts are juxtaposed against one another, as are colour schemes, creating a seemingly random design but one, which has in truth been carefully thought through.
"Colour plays a starring role. The way in which they're assembled creates a sense of equilibrium that means that no one colour dominates another. So that each one has an equal chance to shine," said Victoire de Castellane, Creative Director of Dior Joaillerie.
Rounding off the Granville collection is a set of nine timepieces in white, yellow and rose gold. Here, diamonds, sapphires, patent leather and a burst of bright colours all combine to create a truly unique time-keeping artpiece that is rooted in the spirit of Granville.
The Dior Granville is available in the Middle East now.
