Angelus will present its U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon at Baselworld 2016. Since starting production again, after 30 years of non-operation, the Swiss luxury watchmaker is staking its claim once again at the forefront of the horological world with its latest creation, a follow-up to last year's U10 Tourbillon Lumière.

The combination of sapphire, carbon and titanium allows the U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon to showcase its piece de resistance: its transparency. Large blocks of sapphire crystal are used to achieve this innovative feat, giving the illusion of a movement that is simply floating in the air. The skeletonised mechanical heart, all made by hand, features blue bridges and beams that not only provide rigidity but also pops of colour.

Complementing the technological ingenuity is the carbon fibre and titanium case, which further enhances the lightness of the timepiece. Rounding off the look is the stealth black alligator leather strap.

Limited to only 18 pieces, the Angelus U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon will be unveiled at Baselworld 2016, which runs from March 17-24, 2016. Stay connected to Buro 24/7 Middle East for updates.
