With one eye on heritage and another on the future, Longines' new timepieces are proving just as timeless. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the details...

Luxury watchmaker Longines has unveiled several new timepiece collections at Baselworld 2016, masterfully juxtaposing colourful watches with more classic pieces. The new lines include the Heritage, La Grande Classique de Longines as well as the Equestrian collections and showcase the maison's diverse design ethos.

Honey rules in this timepiece that marries old world charm with modern technological innovations. Honey-coloured hands are complemented by the same tone for the hour and minute markers. For a pop of colour, Longines added blue outline to the hands. Elsewhere, diamonds surround the case to showcase elegance while the presence of a date window adds a complication to a remarkable watch.

La Grande Classique de Longines

This multi-coloured collection adds vibrancy to sophistication, a welcome diversion from more classical pieces that Longines offer. The new timepieces, which bring freshness to a collection that was first introduced almost 25 years ago, not only come in two sizes but also with different straps. Further boosting the sparkling factor are optional diamonds that can be added around the case.

Longines Equestrian Collection

Longines is synonymous with the equestrian world with its various horse racing and riding programmes. Inspired by the buckle on the saddle, the new timepiece offers women both elegance and that spirit of adventure.  The new watch is available in four different sizes as well as several dial designs, including those that are embellished with diamonds.
