Lucerne-based horological master Carl F. Bucherer reveals a timepiece that fittingly pays homage to the graceful lake dwellers at its home.

Luxury watchmaker Carl F. Bucherer has unveiled the new Pathos Swan at Baselworld 2016. Inspired by the birds that swim elegantly on the picturesque Lake Lucerne, the new ladies' timepiece is a showcase of fine craftsmanship in the world of jewellery and horology.

From the case to the strap, the Pathos Swan is bedecked with precious diamonds and sapphires in shades of blue and red — 922 to be exact. The gemstones on the mother-of-pearl dial depict a swan swimming effortlessly across the water, while the hands further reflect the attention to detail in the creation of the watch.
